Services / The Core Offer
Every technology capability your business needs. On retainer.
Strategy, AI, data, automation, implementation, and custom development, delivered through ongoing workstreams.
Work scoped to outcomes.
A workstream is a focused initiative with a clear objective. Priorities are set together: you bring the business context, we bring the technical recommendations. Work moves forward every month.
Each workstream has an owner on our side, a cadence, and a visible outcome. When something ships, it ships. When something stalls, you know why. And when a new priority surfaces mid-quarter, we reprioritize. No new contracts, no new statements of work.
Every retainer comes with a team of specialists across strategy, AI, data, automation, implementation, and custom development. Platform certifications across the tools you use. Access to the right AI models for the work. And the security posture a real engagement requires.
Workstreams are scoped each quarter and run in parallel. Your tier defines how many run at once, how quickly we respond, and how often we meet. Every retainer includes the full team, the full toolset, and the full security standard.
The difference between tiers is volume, not capability.

All retainers begin with a free discovery call to scope your needs. Custom arrangements available for unique requirements.
Some of our longest-running clients started with us before the retainer model existed and chose to stay.
From first call to ongoing partnership.
Free discovery call
We start with a 30-minute conversation. You tell us what's working, what's not, and where you want to go. We assess whether we're the right fit. If we are, we'll outline what a retainer looks like for your business.
No commitment. No pitch deck.
Technology assessment
We audit your stack, map your workflows, and surface the highest-impact opportunities. For larger engagements, this is a paid discovery with a written output. It becomes the foundation of your first quarter.
Retainer kickoff
We define your initial workstreams, assign the right team members, set up your communication channel, and begin work. Your dedicated account manager runs the first quarterly planning session to align on priorities, timelines, and success metrics.
Ongoing partnership
From here it's continuous. Workstreams progress every month. Quarterly planning reprioritizes. The team gets to know your business as well as you do. No re-onboarding, no context lost.
Workstreams can span every area of our expertise.
Any combination. Any sequence. Scoped to your business each quarter.
“Workiflow is the partner bringing us to the next level.”
There was no project management software, just ten thousand emails flying around with creative requests. Total chaos. Workiflow changed that.
“The Workiflow team is a joy to work with.”
Quick, responsive, and creative in finding solutions for unique needs. They took the time to explain how each feature was built, so I can change and fix things on my own.
“Workiflow have been excellent experts to work with.”
They got our team up and going very quickly and are super responsive. They know the key connections and automations to get the most out of our systems.
Honest about fit.
The retainer works well for
- Mid-market companies running on multiple platforms
- Ops leaders who've outgrown their current consulting arrangement
- Teams with AI ambitions and no infrastructure yet
- Businesses where technology isn't someone's full-time job
- Owner-operators who need a real team without hiring one
Less good fit
- One-off projects with a hard finish line and no ongoing need
- Teams with a full internal engineering and ops function already
- Pre-seed startups still finding product-market fit
- Buyers looking for the cheapest hourly rate
How to tell which you are
- Count your current vendors touching your stack
- Ask how many of them are accountable when something breaks
- Ask when your last roadmap review was
- If none of the answers feel good, the retainer probably fits
Questions, answered.
What exactly is a workstream?
A workstream is a focused initiative with a clear objective, an owner on our side, and a visible outcome. It could be a new build, an ongoing optimization, a system migration, or a continuous area of support. Workstreams are scoped during quarterly planning and can be reprioritized as your business changes.
How is the retainer different from buying hours or projects?
A retainer gives you the whole team every month: specialists, certifications, AI tools, and security posture. Hours and project work each have their place, and we offer those too for the right scope. The retainer is built for businesses where the work is ongoing.
What if I need to change my workstreams mid-quarter?
You can. Every retainer includes flexibility to reprioritize. If a workstream stalls or a new priority surfaces, we reshape. No new contracts, no new statements of work. Quarterly planning is when the formal shift happens, but day-to-day direction stays with you.
What happens during quarterly planning?
A 90-minute session with your account manager and relevant specialists. We review what shipped, what stalled, and what's changed in the business. Then we set the workstreams for the next quarter: priorities, outcomes, success metrics. You leave with a written plan.
What team members do I get access to?
Anyone whose skills a workstream requires. Your account manager coordinates, so you never have to think about who to ask. If a workstream needs a data engineer one month and a developer the next, both show up.
Can I change tiers?
Yes. Most clients move up a tier within the first year as more workstreams become active. Downgrades are also supported when the work naturally tapers.
Is there a long-term commitment?
Retainers are month-to-month after the first 90 days. We're confident enough in the work that we don't need to lock you in. If the retainer isn't working, we want to know, not trap you.
Not sure which tier fits?
Book a call and we'll scope it with you.
